Developed in collaboration with Josh White BFA ID 27’, this project explores a biodegradable, wood based composite engineered specifically for bouldering holds. Using gelatin as a binder and optimizing strength through particle variation and compression molding, the material was briefly tested with natural dyes before being applied to functional climbing holds. The work culminated in a full scale bouldering wall installation built for hands on user testing.
